Shane is currently Quality Manager within Designer Group, bringing over 15 years’ industry experience to his role. For Designer Group, he leads a team of 17. Quality Engineers and Quality Controllers, working closely with Project Stakeholders and Specialist Subcontractors. Shane is focused on implementing the appropriate measures to ensure compliance with design specifications and Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR), delivering the unique quality outcomes of each individual project. He drives the development of new processes and lean activities, liaising with multiple departments to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards. Shane trains, assists, mentors staff and provides guidance to team members, helping to resolve issues that may arise. Shane’s work experiences include transitioning to the ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 standards and successfully integrating the QMS with the BSI PAS 1192 accreditation. Shane has attained a BEng in Engineering, Post Graduate Cert in BIM & National Craft Certificate (electrical). He is a member of Engineers Ireland and CQI.
